Topic: Student Learning

The following article was written by a three 5th Grade students from Mrs. Vitale’s Class.

Fifth graders chose a famous individual to do research with books and Google.  After taking notes, we had to make a slideshow to show all of our facts, for example, we added facts like our person’s hobbies, childhood and educational experiences. We also had to make a backdrop. This backdrop had to be based off of something about our individual. We also had to create a button or bring one in from home. The reason for the button is that a student, could push the button and then we would say our 60 or more seconds speech. Our speeches had to be memorized. We had to bring a costume to school so we could actually be our individual.  We presented our speeches to 4th graders and 3rd graders. It was a great learning experience.
